The Waiting

Henry was given a referral to a physical therapist two weeks ago at his 15 month check-up.  Nothing has ever scared me more than reading the words "developmental delay" on his report.  The PT office still hasn't called to set up the appointment.  There should be laws against such things.

  1. You gave them two weeks of worry and fear. Why don't you call them to get things rolling - or call your doctor's office back and ask them to light a fire under the PTs office?

  2. I agree, two weeks is more than enough, give them a call. Messages can get lost and you have to watch over your family.

Putting you and Henry on my prayer list that you get the help Henry needs and the support you need.

  3. Thanks, ladies! The nurse at Henry's doctor's office told me to call if I didn't hear from the PT after two weeks. You'd better believe I called bright and early this morning. I know in my heart that there is nothing wrong with Henry, that he's just being a stubborn little cuss who is content right where he is, but I'm just ready to get him going and I'm not very patient. Thank you for the kind words, and I will keep you all posted!

  4. Thisbe's doctor said the same sort of thing to us the other day. "Some babies are just go content that they don't see any reason to try to move anywhere else," she said. I know she'd say the same thing to you about your Henry.
